Hawaiian Lion returns to MCW!    1/30/08

Mega Championship Wrestling is pleased to announce that we have signed international star "Hawaiian Lion"John Williams , to return to action on Friday Feb. 8th in South Amherst and Sunday Feb. 10 in Norwalk. Fresh off yet another tour of Japan, Williams is sure to shake things up again at "No Love Lost". Last time he was in Mega action, Williams was defeated by the US Champions "Killer" Chris Kole. The question this time around is , will he be looking to take the MCW US Title back to Japan? Is he looking for revenge on Kole? Or does he have something else on his mind? We will all find out in just a few short days!

Announcement from MCW Owner Darren Davenport  1/9/08

Man, I can't believe all of you that braved that ridiculous snow storm on December 15 for
Night of Champions: Headlock on Hunger. What looked sure to be a disaster turned
into an event that collected over almost 200 cans of food for Second Harvest Food Bank .
I want to say thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart for once again
proving that you are the greatest group of fans in the world!

A small bump in the road has come up for the next event. Due to a scheduling conflict
with the South Amherst Community Center , they've asked us to move our next
scheduled date. The SACC has been very good to us, so we'd like to help them out
if we can. So the show scheduled for Saturday Feb. 2, 2008 will now be
FRIDAY FEB 8,2008. All tickets already purchased for Feb 2 will of course be honored.

And finally I'm pleased to announce our return to Norwalk on SUNDAY FEB. 10,2008 at the beautiful Bronson Norwalk Conservation Center.
Pre Sale tickets will go on sale in the next few days for both events.

Norwalk show, doors open at 5 pm, show starts at 5:30 pm

Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing you all at ringside!

Three New Champions!!
Early on in the night Saturday 22nd, it was revealed that the MCW Brass Knuckles Champion Jason Bane, was unable to make it to the show due to endeavors in the WWE! Unfortunately due to the fact that he was signed to defend his title against The Bouncer, he unknowingly had to forfeit the belt to him. However, though he was thankful for the offer by Darren Davenport, The Bouncer said that he couldn't accept the title as he would rather fight for it. Just then Shawn Blaze came out with TJ Dynamite exclaiming that if "The Dish" was going to be giving away the title that he would gladly take it. At this point Darren made a match for later on in the night pitting The Bouncer against Shawn Blaze... for the TITLE! When these two met later on it'd seem that the Bouncer had the match won and as he was just getting ready to finish Blaze off, TJ Dynamite interfered causing a distraction to the Bouncer long enough for Blaze to regain his composure and then Bouncer turned around right into the Super Kick from Shawn Blaze! And Shawn Blaze picked up the victory and the title in upset.

The Tag Titles were also up for grabs Saturday. The MCW Tag Champs Faith In Nothing were signed to defend their titles against Chris Cronus and JT Lightning. however Vincent Nothing was not there. Now Faith was poised to defend the titles himself. As he pulled out all the stops to come out on top, even Faith couldn't pull it off in a one on two battle against JT & Cronus, as the double team hellish tactics by JT & Cronus culminated into and F-5 by Cronus to pick up the victory.

Chris Kole was also set to defend his title against rival Brandon X but due to the aforementioned personal problems, X was not there to challenge Kole instead he faced One half of the PHD's and former Tag Champ, Luis Diamante. this was an intense back and forth bout between two very technically sound wrestlers. And Luis kronie and tag team partner Sodapop Johnson was not ringside due to an injury he sustained earlier in the night. What is usually the strong point of these two recent cheaters was not effective due to this very fact, and it seemed to be in Chris Kole's favor until Diamante's dirty tactics blinded Kole, literally! Chris Kole accidentally gave the referee his finishing maneuver "the Egg Scrambler" as he believed it was Diamante. Now the ref was out and as Chris Kole regained his sight he connected with the Egg Scrambler once again, this time on the right person. Then as it seemed Kole had it in the bag Sodapop came out limping with his crutch behind Kole as Kole was trying to wake up the ref. This crutch would prove to be the downfall of the killer as Sodapop hit him with it. Just then the ref came to as Diamante covered Kole... 1...2...3! After over a year there is a new MCW Heavyweight Champion! As Diamante and Johnson celebrate it is apparent that Sodapop was never hurt to begin with as he does a victory lap! .. This ends the Saturday 22nd show....
